https://www.kbb.com - Mustang versus Camaro is one of the longest-running and most celebrated performance rivalries in the car business, dating to 1966, when General Motors responded to Ford’s sporty 2+2 coupe and the pony car races began. Revived in 2009 after a seven-year hiatus, the Camaro reflects the most interpretive rendition of the surviving pony cars -- more contemporary, less retro. The Mustang, for its part, sustains the styling of the second-generation car, with detail concessions to contemporary trends. As a footnote, both the Camaro and Mustang will receive a number of updates for the 2019 model year. The new cars are due this fall.
