Audi, Mercedes, Opel, Porsche and VW recall 630,000 diesel-powered cars

Posted By GMbeat on Articles - German car makers Audi, Mercedes, Opel, Porsche and Volkswagen are voluntarily recalling more than 630,000 diesel-powered vehicles in their home market after irregularities with emissions systems were discovered during a government investigation - but several other car makers named in the investigation have yet to reveal if they will take action, and only Audi and Vauxhall/Opel have confirmed they will make the voluntary updates on every affected car in Europe. During real-world testing German government investigators discovered what they deemed excessive NOx emissions levels, chiefly as a result of emissions reductions systems only working at certain temperature levels.
